The objective of the Academy is to enhance sustainable cooperation among the Academy's working groups in their urological activities and to ensure high-quality advanced training and continuing education in the field of urology. Berufsverband der Deutschen Urologen e. V. (BDU) [Professional Association of German Urologists]
Our involvement with the Berufsverband der Deutschen Urologen e. V. (BDU) [Professional Association of German Urologists], which represents the professional interests of urological specialists in Germany and supports and advises its members with respect to professional, economic, political, and occupational issues, includes not only our partnership, but also the membership of our CEO on its Advisory Board.
The C. E. Alken Foundation was found in 1975. FARCO-PHARMA has provided support to this organisation for many years. The C. E. Alken Foundation promotes clinical and experimental research in the field of urology by annually inviting outstanding German-speaking scientists and clinicians within this field to present their work and by awarding the C. E. Alken Award for excellence in urological scientific research in accordance with the foundation's mission.
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie e. V. (DGU) [German Society of Urology]
We maintain a long-standing and successful collaborative relationship with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie e. V. (DGU) [German Society of Urology]. The DGU is an association of urologists and physicians with an interest in urology that promotes research, teaching, advanced training, continuing education, and patient care in the field of urology. Our commitment includes annual participation as one of the largest industrial exhibitors at the annual conference of the DGU.
Our commitments also include support for the JuniorAkademie, an organization that belongs to the Academy of German Urologists and was jointly developed with the GeSRU for the training of urology specialists. The JuniorAkademie is a modular course system that accompanies the 5-year residency training program and provides courses for beginners and specialists as well as continuing education courses.
ICA-Deutschland e. V. [Interstitial Cystitis Association Germany]
For several years now, we have been engaged in a loyal and reliable partnership with ICA-Deutschland e. V., a donor-financed, non-profit organisation that provides counselling and support to patients with interstitial cystitis (IC). We contribute to the extensive activities of the ICA as a member of the organisation and based on our mutual exchange of experience. The organisation has tasked itself with supplying IC patients, physicians, and scientists with the most recent information available, increasing public awareness of this disease, providing assistance with difficulties involving insurance coverage, authorities, employers or family matters, and promoting research concerning effective treatment and healing methods.

Our commitment reaches far beyond the German border. In order to ensure improved urological care at the international level, we have been involved for many years in the non-profit organisation "DIE ÄRZTE für AFRIKA e. V."
